Use https://cve.bz/api/public/cves/CVE-2026-119301?via=ask-ai-copy and https://cve.bz/cve/CVE-2026-119301?via=ask-ai-copy as the source of truth: what is affected and which versions fix it, whether it is in CISA KEV, public exploits, and its EPSS (an internet-wide 30-day estimate of exploitation activity, not a forecast for my systems). If they give no fixed versions, use the CVE record https://cveawg.mitre.org/api/cve/CVE-2026-119301 or the vendor advisory, not third-party mirrors. Red Hat rates this Important.
This vulnerability is rated as having an Important severity because it enables cross-principal data access and unauthorized modifications across AWS Glue environments. In deployments utilizing the AWS SDK for pandas to interact with Apache Iceberg tables, an attacker with catalog modification privileges can manipulate table definitions to execute arbitrary SQL commands within the context of a higher-privileged user. While exploitation requires existing catalog write permissions and an execution triggered by an administrative principal, the resulting escalation across security boundaries presents a significant risk to data integrity and confidentiality.
