CVE-2026-81816
No CVSS score yet.
XML External Entity (XXE) Injection in ContentWorker in Apache OFBiz 24.09 before 24.09.08 on all platforms allows a remote authenticated attacker holding content-author permission to read arbitrary server files and trigger server-side request forgery by storing a crafted text/xml DataResource containing an external entity declaration, causing ContentWorker's rendering of that content — via renderContentAsText and related CMS/help render paths — to parse the stored XML using FreeMarker's default NodeModel.parse DocumentBuilderFactory, which enables neither FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING nor external-entity/DTD restrictions, resolving the external entity and returning its content in the rendered response. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.08, which fixes this issue.

Explain CVE-2026-81816 for an engineer deciding whether to act. Use https://cve.bz/api/public/cves/CVE-2026-81816?via=ask-ai-copy and https://cve.bz/cve/CVE-2026-81816?via=ask-ai-copy as the source of truth: what is affected and which versions fix it, whether it is in CISA KEV, public exploits, and its EPSS (an internet-wide 30-day estimate of exploitation activity, not a forecast for my systems). If they give no fixed versions, use the CVE record https://cveawg.mitre.org/api/cve/CVE-2026-81816 or the vendor advisory, not third-party mirrors. Tell me how to check whether I am affected and how to verify a fix. Cite the sources and say where they are uncertain.Opens a third-party assistant; its answer is its own, not cve.bz's.
