CVE-2025-5769

6.1 mediumEPSS 0.2%

Medium (6.1). EPSS 0.2% estimated probability of exploitation activity in the next 30 days.

On this page
The authentication endpoint does not properly encode user-supplied input before rendering it within the web page. This lack of output encoding allows an attacker to inject malicious JavaScript payloads into the authentication flow, which are then executed by the victim's browser. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker can redirect the user's browser to a malicious website, modify the content of the web page displayed to the user, or exfiltrate information from the browser. However, due to the implementation of the httpOnly flag on session-related sensitive cookies, session hijacking and similar attacks are not possible.

Show the promptExplain CVE-2025-5769 for an engineer deciding whether to act. Use https://cve.bz/api/public/cves/CVE-2025-5769?via=ask-ai-copy and https://cve.bz/cve/CVE-2025-5769?via=ask-ai-copy as the source of truth: what is affected and which versions fix it, whether it is in CISA KEV, public exploits, and its EPSS (an internet-wide 30-day estimate of exploitation activity, not a forecast for my systems). If they give no fixed versions, use the CVE record https://cveawg.mitre.org/api/cve/CVE-2025-5769 or the vendor advisory, not third-party mirrors. Tell me how to check whether I am affected and how to verify a fix. Cite the sources and say where they are uncertain.
