The\ncheck cannot go in crypt_iv_lmk_ctr with the other lmk checks, because\nthe IV constructor runs after crypt_set_key.\n\nNote that this is not a security bug because the memory corruption can\nonly be triggered by root.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3195e0daf590683992edb4eed32269e569e04924","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/40ea7dfa8cd5f9aed72a55c9ca3008aee5880e6f","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/962ce265fbf5d87afeb78cf19c12e083ab0ffeb8","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9a0dab8a9d9975dec14a118b55cae2517aea5ca9","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a1a875614dae43b43d311bb9e7a7a70eed78efe6"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-23T16:39:28.036610720+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-99037","score":0.00168,"percentile":0.06153,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
