Making\ninet_gso_segment() stackable introduced unbounded IPv4 nesting; IPIP\nGSO/TSO later made the path reachable. The IPv6 stackable path was\nintroduced separately and uses the same guard.\n\nCount IPv4 and IPv6 GSO handler entries in skb_gso_cb, initialized once\nper top-level GSO operation and preserved across GRE/UDP context changes.\nUse the existing IP_TUNNEL_RECURSION_LIMIT for both handlers. The first\nfive entries pass, and the sixth returns -EINVAL before dispatching\nanother GSO callback.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/006c8b834aed8b02bd8fb9fb05e9e7ead37d1763","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c949646c900e879afce47df1b607fa320eb63bf2"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T23:00:53.604569364+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-98853","score":0.00145,"percentile":0.03738,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
