Releasing the group's beacon entry can\nthen leave the associated entry pointing to freed IEs, which are\nfreed again when that entry is released.\n\nSkip beacon IE replacement when the source entry belongs to a hidden\ngroup. Preserve probe-response processing, the subsequent metadata\nupdates, and the existing rejection path for conflicting hidden\nbeacon updates.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/49b66110a08e4f926f6393e938f226de2750a08b","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5617d5328839003c91007ce906b4f100b43926e9","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5f27581c176f84b52ec0ab9be7b500c10667ef60","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/cc45f313d85533d647ce619326302aad6f797c14","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/dd7973a4130b0862be38d7e08cc0e874b3d99967"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-98823","score":0.00175,"percentile":0.06971,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
