This skips binder_free_txn_fixups(), leaking all\nbinder_txn_fd_fixup entries and their fget()'d struct file references.\n\nThe leaked file refcounts never reach zero, so the struct file objects\nare permanently pinned in memory. They survive process exit and\naccumulate across invocations until file-max exhaustion.\n\nEvery other transaction cleanup path (binder_free_transaction(),\nbinder_transaction() error paths, binder_release_work()) correctly\ncalls binder_free_txn_fixups(). Add the missing call before kfree()\nin the t_outdated cleanup block.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1299cb3fb061598496086fc87ff291057831148e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6673f4f21e2fddfed0abe1eb9045cc958e6db130","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7fd609fb0e9dcbc4d7a1e4da1af5368c0555ff55","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a7329ea53d04f0c6135d02905810cd6f42acdf45","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c4c02084d6687d5cd5edccaf52cc45e5160f1184"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-98777","score":0.00168,"percentile":0.05966,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
