The computed\ninteger port index can then exceed the address field range and wrap to an\nexisting index. Subsequent subscriber teardown can resolve the duplicate\naddress to the wrong port and access a freed subscriber.\n\nTake ioctl_mutex while dispatching converted port-info requests, matching\nthe native ioctl path. All translated port-info commands share this\nhelper, so their accesses to the client port state are serialized as\nwell.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2db234e163f0d211b69a4eebbec8aacc5a54a80e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/413211dd31cb2ef2fc99fb0aa1a037a97509502c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/702d92f361f65d9698c473c7599d471395dc4341","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/95b2e0361c88753afa030c10698be0a1a5b67650","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/fc5c52848e405b6efb073db5035bb9ebaed11ec4"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-98742","score":0.00168,"percentile":0.05981,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
