The default remove path (hid_hw_stop -> hidinput_disconnect)\nonly iterates hdev->inputs, so input2 is never unregistered and leaks\non every device removal.\n\nAdd a .remove handler that stops the device first (preventing URB\ncallbacks from touching input2 during teardown) and then unregisters\ninput2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1170ebfba562b3938ff7749b2e42e4420f19436d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/978e801750c7b0859e87eae619f7d88fcd88333e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/aa4845a710ae9fee6a3831f5c338904cea77c3aa","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/aa9dde93e05a837645fdfd577eea71f0733f0694","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/bd9571812d02242b6bba2637fba924a78a5c6fa8"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-98502","score":0.002,"percentile":0.09767,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
