An\nunprivileged socket can therefore submit a reserved OCF that aliases an\nallowlisted command modulo 128.\n\nA conforming controller should reject reserved opcodes. Nevertheless,\nthe security decision must apply to the opcode that will actually be\nsent, especially since controller-specific behavior is outside the host\nstack's control.\n\nReject OCF values that cannot be represented by the security filter\ninstead of aliasing them onto an unrelated command.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/173457fa3e99ef4188dd0fe63e4dee98d0e441a9","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/320dedad15e8bbaecc8d2d7fd4189defb84caa85","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/47d67ec424e63e61e9eb58633d43a9d58a1852b6","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/598686f5d65b9af2223ed9d22fadba16e09f6ca8","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/68f0bcc4e16e31ff8dbe6ca93116eb70d7b6ac44"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T23:00:53.604569364+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-98460","score":0.00177,"percentile":0.07155,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
