For those issues to happen, a malformed\nwire message is needed to be sent from the device.\n\nInstead of duplicating the bounds checking code already present in\ndecode_message(), use the function inside resp_worker().","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H","score":7.1},"cwes":["CWE-125"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/12deeade460d47031267256ba07add51cc7eabd0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5807a65f301b6c0e73a2dc03dd6f5e80a2861b72","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ab243f74ab4084ca5c8dec608cb5b0deb27db067","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c72e81ee46bdd4c221114d6e9515e9b4647616d7","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f4b64488f3deca63f7fbc7d7c3835b2e668003f9"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:56:58.798400159+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-98155","score":0.00117,"percentile":0.01646,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
