If hwmon_device_register_with_info() fails right after it,\nccp_probe() returns without removing them: the HID core then frees ccp,\nand ccp_remove() is not called for a failed probe, so the files stay\nbehind. Reading one of them dereferences the freed pointer.\n\nRemove the debugfs entries on that error path. debugfs_remove_recursive()\nwaits for readers already inside the show callbacks, so ccp is no longer\nreachable through debugfs by the time probe returns.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4ee875c423c66c45d7ef7bbff403cd0e3971e0a2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a5de53b08cc319dadce6fb68d33749ea37962952","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ae01aafd8214e48cb7eff11e92dfbf3778d52d9d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/fdc1bc23ff59ee308042342cefcb918d6efba409"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:02.509636177+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-97967","score":0.002,"percentile":0.09719,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
