{"cve":"CVE-2026-9795","nvd":{"published":"2026-05-28T05:16:41.003","modified":"2026-10-26T12:10:00.130","status":"Modified","description":"A flaw was found in Keycloak's Fine-Grained Admin Permissions (FGAPv2) feature. An administrator with limited client management permissions can exploit this vulnerability to assign any realm role, including highly privileged roles, to a client's scope mapping. This bypasses intended security controls, allowing the injected role to be projected into a user's authentication token when they access the modified client. This could lead to unauthorized privilege escalation within the Keycloak realm.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":7.3},"cwes":["CWE-266"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:30049","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:30050","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:30083","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:30084","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-9795"],"products":["redhat:build_of_keycloak"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T12:35:18.182177120+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-9795","score":0.00354,"percentile":0.28823,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-32h4-44jj-c5vx","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-32h4-44jj-c5vx","summary":"Keycloak has privilege escalation via improper scope mapping enforcement","modified":"2026-07-01T21:41:29.359111Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.keycloak:keycloak-services","purl":"pkg:maven/org.keycloak/keycloak-services","ranges":["<26.6.4"],"fixed":["26.6.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
