As a result, io_uring advances more of the provided buffer ring\nthan was actually filled. Use the actual filled region size to consume\nthe buffer, but still return the full size to preserve MSG_TRUNC\nsemantics.\n\nTake care with multishot, because that seems to already truncate the\nconsumption based on the available payload size.\n\nThis was reported in https://github.com/axboe/liburing/issues/1619.\n\n[axboe: fold in size_t unsigned fix]","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2e70ea75c7bb38a6dc212975f887310f14f7c043","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/41d24d2fb168fa05fcaf9ec4e55478411dbbf8e1","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6028b543884f8735e057ec9eea4908cd61cab230","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/927d96f91c582b319d104ecf50ec935a8dc29193"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:02.509636177+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-97618","score":0.00206,"percentile":0.10451,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
