The crypto API's\ncompletion wrapper treats -EBUSY as a queueing status and swallows it,\npreventing the completion callback from firing. This causes callers\nusing crypto_wait_req() to block indefinitely.\n\nTranslate persistent -EBUSY to -EIO after retry exhaustion to ensure\nproper error propagation and callback invocation.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7a08507ea5b4d06ad8d269287913573f34467565","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e267bd142664a181474112392aeaa8b3d4b12f2e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f6b263679aa72ad2e534bf93db55f2589549a40e"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:02.509636177+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-97588","score":0.00198,"percentile":0.09449,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
