This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the form_settings_ui (settings save handler, procedural include scope) function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify plugin settings including the minimum access role (altering WordPress role capabilities via add_cap/remove_cap), the data-erasure-on-uninstall flag, life-check timing values, the mandator email address, the confirmation page ID, and date/time formats via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/emergencywp/tags/1.4.2/pages/emergencywp/setting_tabs/settings_main.php#L17","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/emergencywp/tags/1.4.2/pages/emergencywp/setting_tabs/settings_main.php#L217","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/emergencywp/tags/1.4.2/pages/emergencywp/setting_tabs/settings_main.php#L79","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/6013f592-4cff-4b94-968d-6f66e84368d0?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:37:48.043517290+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-9732","score":0.00128,"percentile":0.0244,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
