{"cve":"CVE-2026-97045","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-27T22:19:22.613","modified":"2026-10-27T22:19:22.613","status":"Received","description":"In childTextNodesAreLiteral, walking up the tree previously stopped at the nearest foreign ancestor once an HTML integration point was found. However, that integration point may itself be a descendant of an element that was foster-parented into a foreign namespace (such as <mglyph> or <malignmark> fostered under <mtext>), causing a parser to resolve the subtree in a different foreign namespace upon re-parsing the rendered output. Continue walking the full ancestor chain and verify that every transition from a non-empty namespace occurs at an HTML integration point before emitting literal text.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://go.dev/cl/855121","https://go.dev/issue/82622","https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/sqrs2vTx_Xs","https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-6866"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-27T22:38:42.705297859+00:00"},"epss":null,"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GO-2026-6866","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6866","summary":"Check all ancestor namespace transitions when rendering raw text in html in golang.org/x/net","modified":"2026-10-27T21:45:08.978077289Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"golang.org/x/net","purl":"pkg:golang/golang.org/x/net","ranges":["<0.62.0"],"fixed":["0.62.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
