This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Exploitation requires the 'Track Authors' custom dimension to be configured in the plugin's Google Analytics 4 or Matomo settings, and the attacker must be able to publish public singular content (e.g., via bbPress forum topics) so that the injected display name is rendered in the tracking script.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":7.2},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-seopress/tags/10.2/inc/functions/options-google-analytics.php#L635","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-seopress/tags/10.2/inc/functions/options-matomo.php#L118","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?reponame=&old=3722789%40wp-seopress&new=3722789%40wp-seopress","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/8f5f5b75-abaf-4e4b-8509-f8b569519166?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:57:46.668721662+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-96564","score":0.00236,"percentile":0.14491,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
