{"cve":"CVE-2026-96445","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-23T12:17:08.773","modified":"2026-09-24T14:51:56.593","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"A flaw was found in the Conditional OTP authenticator of Keycloak, an identity and access management solution. The issue occurs when the system evaluates specific HTTP headers to determine if a one-time password (OTP) should be skipped, but fails to verify if those headers came from a trusted source. This could allow an attacker who already has a user's password to bypass the second-factor authentication by providing a specially crafted header in their request.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":6.8},"cwes":["CWE-287"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-96445","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2539280"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:02.509636177+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-96445","score":0.00391,"percentile":0.33293,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
