Unblu Spark 7.0 through 8.36.1-hotfix.0, on on-premises and cloud deployments, allows an authenticated remote attacker to read and change configuration properties of entities they aren't authorized to access, including other users, other accounts and, in Unblu Cloud, other customers' accounts, via configuration read and write operations that target those entities.\n\n\n\nThe Collaboration Server doesn't check whether the user reading or changing configuration has access to the entity the configuration belongs to. With certain non-default configuration validation settings, a registered user can additionally write configuration properties they aren't allowed to edit, in any scope.\n\n\n\nExploitation requires an authenticated session but no user interaction.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:H/SA:H","score":9.3},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-639","CWE-862"],"references":["https://docs.unblu.com/latest/security-bulletins/#UBL-2026-002"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:56:58.798400159+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-9589","score":0.00359,"percentile":0.29315,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
