{"cve":"CVE-2026-94484","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-02T16:16:51.627","modified":"2026-10-05T20:17:28.907","status":"Analyzed","description":"Next.js is a React framework for building full-stack web applications. From 15.0.0 until 15.5.27 and 16.3.8, applications with a root-level catch-all page and statically generated or Incremental Static Regeneration routes can use a shared response cache key that is insufficiently scoped to the source route. A single unauthenticated crafted request can poison that cache, causing cross-user content substitution or persistent denial of service until the poisoned entry is revalidated or replaced. This issue is fixed in versions 15.5.27 and 16.3.8.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L","score":4.8},"cwes":["CWE-524"],"references":["https://github.com/vercel/next.js/commit/52c94abdd2ea5f416f5e8353ea8a2edd3fe311b8","https://github.com/vercel/next.js/commit/719e4c67d6e92df60246f95e1d96e2dd60789a52","https://github.com/vercel/next.js/releases/tag/v15.5.27","https://github.com/vercel/next.js/releases/tag/v16.3.8","https://github.com/vercel/next.js/security/advisories/GHSA-mcj8-r9mp-w47p"],"products":["vercel:next.js"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:57:46.668721662+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-94484","score":0.00244,"percentile":0.15497,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-mcj8-r9mp-w47p","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-mcj8-r9mp-w47p","summary":"Next.js has cache poisoning in SSG/ISR rendering that leads to cross-user content substitution and persistent denial of service","modified":"2026-10-07T20:45:04.800999218Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"next","purl":"pkg:npm/next","ranges":[">=16.0.0 <16.3.8"],"fixed":["16.3.8"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"next","purl":"pkg:npm/next","ranges":[">=15.0.0 <15.5.27"],"fixed":["15.5.27"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
