A request for `/../outside.txt` escapes public_dir, and percent-encoding the dots reaches the same file.\n\nThe handler is off by default. An application is affected once it names File in route_handlers and sets static_handler to 0, which otherwise refuses a dot segment before the route runs.\n\nAny file the worker process can read is served to an unauthenticated request, including the application's config.yml above public_dir.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://github.com/PerlDancer/Dancer2/commit/2446a09ffb83fef71cc75c327bd6e4b1f007b885.patch","https://github.com/PerlDancer/Dancer2/security/advisories/GHSA-6xw8-v24c-m783","https://metacpan.org/release/CROMEDOME/Dancer2-2.2.0/changes","http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2026/09/22/4"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-93712","score":0.00548,"percentile":0.45882,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
