{"cve":"CVE-2026-93565","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-18T15:17:20.093","modified":"2026-10-15T17:17:30.943","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"A flaw was found in Netty RtspDecoder. The `RtspMethods.valueOf()` function incorrectly strips trailing control bytes from method tokens in Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) requests. A remote attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted RTSP request, leading to method-token smuggling. This vulnerability allows an attacker to bypass method-based access controls and can also be used to launder malicious requests through Netty-based RTSP proxies, making them appear legitimate to backend systems.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-1035"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:69440","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:69470","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:70257","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:83612","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-93565"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-93565","score":0.00767,"percentile":0.55233,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
