{"cve":"CVE-2026-93561","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-18T11:17:21.650","modified":"2026-09-25T09:17:07.287","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"A flaw was found in io.netty/netty-codec-memcache. The Memcache binary protocol codec incorrectly reads `keyLength` and `extrasLength` as signed Java types instead of unsigned, as specified by the protocol. A malicious Memcache server can exploit this type mismatch by sending a specially crafted response. This can lead to frame desynchronization and response smuggling, where one client's data may be inadvertently exposed to another client's response stream in proxy or cache environments.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-1035"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-93561","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2536949","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2536949"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-93561","score":0.00175,"percentile":0.06967,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
