Nothing serializes the multi-part transfer as a whole.\ncxl_get_feature() and cxl_set_feature() are reachable concurrently\nfrom fwctl (per-fd RPCs run under a read-held registration lock) and\nfrom the EDAC scrub/ECS/repair paths, so two transfers to the same\nmailbox can interleave their parts and corrupt the device's transfer\ncontext.\n\nAdd a per-mailbox feat_mutex and hold it across the whole transfer in\nboth functions. It nests outside mbox_mutex (which is taken inside\ncxl_internal_send_cmd()), and is taken nowhere else, so no lock-ordering\ninversion is introduced.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7682b617db1f19bc606b5f1badadcf1e63a87b14","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/77b814c1832fde018c30357b4ec3fcdaa91a1c10","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c6492e17412048387435f256ffafc4dd6518db28"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-93096","score":0.00206,"percentile":0.10624,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
