A concurrent i2c-dev transfer may then enter\namdgpu_dm_i2c_xfer() after the backing DM state has been torn down,\nleading to a NULL pointer dereference.\n\nCreate a devres group around the DM I2C adapter lifetime and release it\nat the start of dm_hw_fini(), before HPD, IRQ, and DM state are torn\ndown. This removes the I2C adapters first and waits for in-flight users\nto drain before the structures used by amdgpu_dm_i2c_xfer() disappear.\n\nThis fixes a teardown ordering race seen during device removal:\n\nBUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference\nRIP: amdgpu_dm_i2c_xfer+0x122/0x1c0 [amdgpu]\nCall Trace:\n__i2c_transfer\ni2c_transfer\ni2cdev_ioctl_rdwr","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6970ec944567f109ac4240f9aea58158ee8a18cd","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8ee385305e8902fa6fbfd66b5a112238292567b6","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e4ae30a12aa95942814957d8bc1ce7366a7107d7"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-93068","score":0.00206,"percentile":0.10619,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
