{"cve":"CVE-2026-92713","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-25T08:16:41.310","modified":"2026-09-25T14:17:22.480","status":"Deferred","description":"The Modula Image Gallery – Photo Grid & Video Gallery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the upload_image function in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.2. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server. The path restriction to wp-content/uploads is not an effective ownership boundary, as all user attachment files reside within that tree, and Authors trivially satisfy the edit_post check on their own galleries.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H","score":8.1},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/modula-best-grid-gallery/tags/3.0.2/includes/admin/helpers/class-modula-gallery-upload.php#L1310","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/modula-best-grid-gallery/tags/3.0.2/includes/admin/helpers/class-modula-gallery-upload.php#L260","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/modula-best-grid-gallery/tags/3.0.2/includes/v2/rest/class-gallery-upload-controller.php#L337","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?reponame=&old=3701804%40modula-best-grid-gallery&new=3701804%40modula-best-grid-gallery","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/1686f4ad-b114-4e4f-b8f7-8ea7c31b2672?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:02.509636177+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-92713","score":0.00313,"percentile":0.24189,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
