{"cve":"CVE-2026-92706","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-22T16:18:12.273","modified":"2026-09-24T21:16:28.120","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"Dark Reader is an accessibility browser extension that makes web pages colors dark. Prior to 4.9.126, a website can cause the browser extension's image inversion pipeline to request an unauthenticated icon-like bitmap from a locally running web server when the resource uses a known public-like HTTPS URL and is detected as requiring inversion. This behavior can cross the website-to-local-network boundary and disclose limited information associated with the requested resource. The darkreader npm package used for website integration is not affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.9.126 for Firefox and version 4.9.128 for other browsers.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":3.4},"cwes":["CWE-200","CWE-346","CWE-668"],"references":["https://github.com/darkreader/darkreader/releases/tag/v4.9.126","https://github.com/darkreader/darkreader/releases/tag/v4.9.128","https://github.com/darkreader/darkreader/security/advisories/GHSA-jh5x-rphw-x532"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:02.509636177+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-92706","score":0.00172,"percentile":0.06533,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
