This could result in a buffer overread.\n\nAdd an upfront length check before dereferencing skb->data as a\nwmi_cmd_hdr. The check is placed before the trace_ath11k_wmi_event()\ncall to preserve the existing trace semantics (tracing the full raw\nWMI event including the header), unlike the analogous ath12k fix which\ncould use skb_pull_data() directly.\n\nCompile tested only.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/20166fd9a4ad15d7eccc63c9dc99680aea6558ef","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2677fc48dd10dc08cdec99c2692d50fe5f48dcbf","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/71690d26c1415e816158b45ee354367244c50d4c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/72a5e45f606ec454ef556a68ffd92e06b0677f44","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9652e7e23137538169f60323300cae3413475685"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-92496","score":0.00216,"percentile":0.11955,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
