This was harmless while the drivers\nwere built-in, but once they can be built as modules and unbound/rmmod'd,\ndevm frees the gpio_chip's memory while it is still registered, causing a\nuse-after-free.\n\nRegister it with devm_gpiochip_add_data() so it shares the same\ndevice-managed lifecycle, which also lets the manual gpiochip_remove()\nerror paths go away.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/01b5fcdc30c0ab35af960b60508eae1f7f7d32fd","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2490528a90a26f408ec3e95f865bad35454f9ff3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9c650317ba553d297f3fc5f0ae40ec53d86f9dab","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b8fa1098ee9f627d38bdf7c0ef6c1a6058a4165b","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/dc6e5d802c88468290fee8826dd3a54cf58da25a"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-92482","score":0.00209,"percentile":0.10919,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
