{"cve":"CVE-2026-9199","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-18T06:16:58.057","modified":"2026-06-18T15:23:56.087","status":"Deferred","description":"The Equalize Digital Accessibility Checker – WCAG, ADA, EAA and Section 508 compliance plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.42.1. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to dismiss, ignore, or restore accessibility audit issue records belonging to posts they are not permitted to edit by supplying an issue from their own post as an authorization token to affect matching issues across the entire site. An Author-level user can exploit this by passing largeBatch=true on a dismiss-issue request referencing one of their own post's issues, causing the handler to bulk-modify all site-wide accessibility issues sharing the same 'object' value — including those belonging to administrator-owned posts.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/accessibility-checker/tags/1.39.0/includes/classes/class-rest-api.php#L1232","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/accessibility-checker/tags/1.39.0/includes/classes/class-rest-api.php#L1247","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/accessibility-checker/tags/1.39.0/includes/classes/class-rest-api.php#L349","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/accessibility-checker/tags/1.42.0/includes/classes/class-rest-api.php#L1232","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/accessibility-checker/tags/1.42.0/includes/classes/class-rest-api.php#L1247"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:39:28.638635428+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-9199","score":0.00238,"percentile":0.14941,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
