Both callers only check whether the work is busy\nbefore taking mmap_lock, so a nested caller can reuse the slot before the\nfirst caller queues it. Two read locks may then be acquired while only one\ndeferred unlock runs, leaking a read lock and blocking exit_mmap().\n\nReserve the per-CPU slot before mmap_read_trylock(). Use the same wrapper\nin stackmap and bpf_find_vma() so both callers release the reservation on\ntrylock failure. Keep rejecting the slot while the irq_work remains busy.\nRelease it after the irq_work callback unlocks the mm.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/051f2da26ce377f683b938a3382e0f16d02f3139","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/931f62311c058d79f29548f20943969bb441ce87","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a052ad5edccf5319f50ed955de4368f8318a9f20","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b6c9daf6097f9b39162b8e736a6ac7caf5ef6fc8","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/fa9dcacdcdf487f0ffef64bf67622f1caed509f1"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-90247","score":0.00209,"percentile":0.10914,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
