A larger count walks the image pointer off the end of the\nstack buffer, reading adjacent kernel stack memory and sending it to the\ndevice via qla2x00_write_sfp().\n\nReject requests whose declared count does not fit in the buffer.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/047f1f7ee6f85bde28abfdda9fa550191ddc0532","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7b22b4cb8822805cef7ba618da6f76e1474d68bd","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7e3154c97ec15460f715dbbe4097c255cce110b1","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a9706d5e754e77515a92bb532bd0d73644979a1f","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/af733bbfcf667af1871a2735fba2835b0da71efb"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:54:41.405518556+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-89858","score":0.00216,"percentile":0.11943,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
