Triggering it\nadditionally requires a ~4GiB mapping so that msg[1] survives the\nearlier \"header does not fit in BO\" check.\n\nRewrite the test in division form, which is overflow-free by\nconstruction. Also update the message to reflect that msg is invalid.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H","score":7.1},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/47799e1f893d47d8af231710a61065e3ec8a13e8","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4d7390530853eb7befda9cc786e4c86e8ad7ac9e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6dceaeceaa7c8396339f3ea34b0110cb912ca61b","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7e28853c78c20bb8ba4c1dba702430cd05e09f76","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9ae19bd60891bea0a7b7504cc8dbfe74570ac3b3"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:54:41.405518556+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-89818","score":0.0016,"percentile":0.05079,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
