The region is left in the tree with dirty set and its\ncompletion never signalled. Later binds over that range then fail\npermanently -- -ENOENT or -EINVAL from the dirty checks, or an unkillable\nwait_for_completion() in bind_validate_region() -- for the lifetime of\nthe uvmm.\n\nClear reg->dirty when the unwind reverts the sparse unmap, restoring the\nregion to the state it was found in.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1101cbfe7f342e5eaaf7444965d4f1215abdac4c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/196ce9e5e93202da097062be24e404984dbc5ac2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/38a62306c4266bcb3cd89e33c7111ee33096ebb3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a129b2b875c148aba233ace8447a0c36ca3bae07","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c60033c172420179b7bbb3d1f843f8dc90164dc5"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:54:41.405518556+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-89800","score":0.002,"percentile":0.09764,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
