The work function dereferences those references,\nand can also requeue itself in its error path. The VDM callbacks can\nqueue the same work item.\n\nDisable and drain tbt->work before dropping the references. This waits\nfor an existing invocation and prevents subsequent schedule_work()\ncalls from queueing it during teardown.\n\nThis issue was found by an in-house static analysis tool and confirmed\nby manual code review.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0a25484fe22f621e151367a59a82330a22ac80bc","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/92090f6ff2acc81e9dd99881dcfb4f8c1bdaabd3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ebb840d982a612261cfc8a7687735a140c6c7024"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:53:43.293028046+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-89737","score":0.00206,"percentile":0.10599,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
