A response larger than that overflows buf\nwith device-controlled content.\n\nThe intel-quicki2c sibling already passes the caller length down to\nquicki2c_get_report() and validates the response against it before the\ncopy. Do the same here.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/035ec4a71cb8020a927c123bbe75c2f88d614986","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/54e0bafc0653bdf2a6c5f5f8ad8787a820d98663","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/72706b44b665679d7d60a488d8776a911f1a93f3"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:53:43.293028046+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-89619","score":0.00173,"percentile":0.06714,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
