This isn't a big\nissue, the user can still re-allocate a new reader page and try again.\n\nHowever, what is more problematic is if the value of subbuf_order\nchanges in the middle of ring_buffer_alloc_read_page(). In that case,\nbpage->order might not match the actual allocated memory.\n\nUse bpage->order for the allocation to prevent this race.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2313ff69bd237aad264a5913907f374f958335a2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2dc510957fe8fd098ab3c3147ebdf34d00cd2734","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/53106e9262a310ef2c9a9321168c03705940c678","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e743527c5bfdceda1095bc0a9e596e2aebb6a9c3"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:53:43.293028046+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-89503","score":0.00168,"percentile":0.06061,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
