Impacted is the function Login of the file app/Models/Employee.php of the component Employee Login. This manipulation causes use of weak hash. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The attack is considered to have high complexity. The exploitability is considered difficult. The actual existence of this vulnerability is currently in question. The vendor explains: \"[T]he code is still there to allow the upgrade path to work. The default password is initially seeded with the old hash function, but then migrated to a newer one after login. [T]he hash version check might be cleaned up in the future. Currently it's not actively in use as any password change will use a newer hash function.\"","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":3.7},"cwes":["CWE-327","CWE-328"],"references":["https://vuldb.com/submit/802561","https://vuldb.com/vuln/364436","https://vuldb.com/vuln/364436/cti"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T13:39:24.642594360+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-8803","score":0.00182,"percentile":0.07691,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
