{"cve":"CVE-2026-85692","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-04T15:17:47.243","modified":"2026-09-10T15:53:23.707","status":"Deferred","description":"Nightingale (n9e), as of commit 8362cbe (main branch, confirmed 2026-08-27), contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the isPublicIP function in aiagent/tools/http.go, the SSRF guard for the http_fetch AI-agent tool. The function only unwraps standard IPv4-mapped (::ffff:a.b.c.d) IPv6 addresses before checking them against the forbidden-range list, and does not classify 6to4 (2002::/16), NAT64 (64:ff9b::/96, 64:ff9b:1::/48), or deprecated site-local (fec0::/10) addresses. On a dual-stack or NAT64-enabled host, an attacker able to supply a URL to the http_fetch tool can bypass the guard by encoding a forbidden IPv4 address (such as the cloud instance-metadata endpoint 169.254.169.254) in one of these IPv6 forms to reach internal or metadata services.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.1},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/ccfos/nightingale","https://github.com/ccfos/nightingale/blob/v9.1.1/aiagent/tools/http.go","https://github.com/ccfos/nightingale/issues/3363","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/nightingale-9.1.1-ssrf-guard-bypass-via-ipv6-encoding","https://github.com/ccfos/nightingale/issues/3363"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:52:03.409947763+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-85692","score":0.00436,"percentile":0.37894,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
