{"cve":"CVE-2026-81179","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-18T18:17:15.617","modified":"2026-09-18T20:17:23.470","status":"Deferred","description":"SysReptor is a fully customizable pentest reporting platform. Prior to 2026.58, installations that enable password reset by email while configuring ALLOWED_HOSTS with a wildcard accept an attacker-controlled Host header when generating a password reset link. An unauthenticated attacker can request a reset email whose link points to an attacker-controlled system, and a victim who follows that link can disclose the reset token, allowing the attacker to reset the victim's password and take over the account. Exploitation also requires a configured email gateway and an email address for the victim, while some reverse proxy configurations may reject the hostile Host header. This issue is fixed in version 2026.58.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":8.1},"cwes":["CWE-807"],"references":["https://github.com/Syslifters/sysreptor/commit/7ecf56a6b8e5c05a2d2212bc8aa340f69855cdea","https://github.com/Syslifters/sysreptor/releases/tag/2026.58","https://github.com/Syslifters/sysreptor/security/advisories/GHSA-9x2r-5pff-8w6c"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-81179","score":0.00479,"percentile":0.41365,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
