The\npointers passed to this function are calculated as buf and buf + 3. Since\nthe difference between the two pointers is an odd number of bytes, at\nleast one of them is guaranteed to be at an unaligned offset.\n\nThis will trigger an alignment fault on strict-alignment architectures\nsuch as ARMv5 or SPARC, resulting in a kernel panic.\n\nFix the problem by using get_unaligned_be16() instead of be16_to_cpup(),\nand put_unaligned_be16() instead of cpu_to_be16().","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1fb41650bc3e14d2a5ddb4bb25e96811e5afe881","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/81529add4a2e3cca9240e0e2342973d62f88f02e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c41fa44be44e452e7aec2081195488d685026761","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c498adfd4c3e85306ccdc19b76e639bfc215f0e7","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f46d5ab43a572b84773015a76966f5da56fc1748"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-80695","score":0.00201,"percentile":0.09829,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
