With rl_count equal to 0, the memset\nwrites past the 16-byte declared size of rf_records, which the fortify\nchecker catches.\n\n[FIX]\nReplace the bulk memset on &rb->rf_records with a correctly-bounded\nmemset on rl_recs[] alone, after setting rl_count to the correct value.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1ec3cca2d8b6b9ff6584ca626d4c8918bbf48d44","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f5255516ec7add3a6d5d37853ad5a9a9ddb14305"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:50:50.842544443+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-80638","score":0.00508,"percentile":0.43393,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
