{"cve":"CVE-2026-78660","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-08T23:17:03.510","modified":"2026-10-09T17:16:49.243","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"Historically, we have been rather lax about malformed framing-related headers in our HTTP/2 implementation, as they cannot interfere with HTTP/2 framing. However, this makes it possible for our HTTP/2 implementation to forward responses containing such headers to an HTTP/1 client when acting as a reverse proxy. If the HTTP/1 client also does not behave strictly enough, this can result in response smuggling.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-444"],"references":["https://go.dev/cl/835145","https://go.dev/cl/836385","https://go.dev/issue/81115","https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI","https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-6610"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:58:01.639778232+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-78660","score":0.00425,"percentile":0.36529,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GO-2026-6610","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6610","summary":"HTTP/2 transport accepts malformed framing-related headers in net/http","modified":"2026-10-16T09:56:04.364467528Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"stdlib","purl":"pkg:golang/stdlib","ranges":["<1.26.9"],"fixed":["1.26.9"]},{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"stdlib","purl":"pkg:golang/stdlib","ranges":[">=1.27.0-0 <1.27.2"],"fixed":["1.27.2"]},{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"golang.org/x/net","purl":"pkg:golang/golang.org/x/net","ranges":["<0.60.0"],"fixed":["0.60.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
