But for special literals NaN, Inf, +Inf, -Inf, Infinity, +Infinity, -Infinity it emits the literal surrounded by quotes plus NULL, which is length + 3 bytes. Every recognised literal (case-insensitive) overflows by 2 bytes, a single quote and a NULL.\n\nThis can be reached by the $dbh->quote method, for example\n\n $dbh->quote( \"Infinity\", DBI::SQL_NUMERIC ).\n\nThis regression was introduced in 3.21.0 by the quote.c rewrite.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-787"],"references":["https://github.com/bucardo/dbdpg/commit/6d6f47ed2403cda55c82b1bad56e388ba7390065.patch","https://github.com/bucardo/dbdpg/commit/adacf1de872326a465e13f9e4281a674ebcd227e","https://github.com/bucardo/dbdpg/security/advisories/GHSA-785p-fw3v-r822","https://metacpan.org/release/TURNSTEP/DBD-Pg-3.21.1/source/Changes","http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2026/08/23/5"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:49:38.260478770+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-78183","score":0.00671,"percentile":0.51747,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
