{"cve":"CVE-2026-77363","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-12T18:17:23.513","modified":"2026-10-16T20:04:29.760","status":"Deferred","description":"obsidian-tc is a governed, agent-ready Model Context Protocol server for Obsidian vaults. Prior to 1.3.1, the Streamable HTTP transport does not validate the Host or Origin header or enable DNS-rebinding protection. When the documented loopback configuration uses auth.mode set to none, a malicious web page can send requests to the local MCP endpoint and receive unrestricted vault access through the http-local caller. Version 1.3.1 fixes the vulnerability by enabling host, origin, and DNS-rebinding validation.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-346","CWE-1385"],"references":["https://github.com/The-40-Thieves/obsidian-tc/commit/6428bfe6fdfd43aa7b4b369be3aecd6a268fb928","https://github.com/The-40-Thieves/obsidian-tc/pull/74","https://github.com/The-40-Thieves/obsidian-tc/releases/tag/v1.3.1","https://github.com/The-40-Thieves/obsidian-tc/security/advisories/GHSA-pqh8-4pj7-32xx"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:58:52.678897993+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-77363","score":0.00155,"percentile":0.04602,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pqh8-4pj7-32xx","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pqh8-4pj7-32xx","summary":"obsidian-tc HTTP transport lacks Origin/DNS-rebinding protection, enabling drive-by vault access on loopback","modified":"2026-10-23T18:45:08.577279509Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"obsidian-tc","purl":"pkg:npm/obsidian-tc","ranges":["<1.3.1"],"fixed":["1.3.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
