{"cve":"CVE-2026-77362","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-13T14:17:42.490","modified":"2026-10-16T16:00:33.533","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"obsidian-tc is a governed, agent-ready Model Context Protocol server for Obsidian vaults. Prior to 1.3.1, bridge tools do not consistently apply the read access-control list (ACL) to every returned field. The tasks_filter tool exposes group counts derived from denied notes, makemd_query passes unfiltered sibling result fields through, and list_templates exposes template paths and parsed user-function bodies without a read-whitelist check. An authenticated caller can consequently infer or read data from notes outside the caller's read ACL. Version 1.3.1 fixes the vulnerability by filtering path-attributable fields and applying the read whitelist to list_templates.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-200","CWE-863"],"references":["https://github.com/The-40-Thieves/obsidian-tc/commit/5ab2109274acf0070601fa71a62b14ddc9652309","https://github.com/The-40-Thieves/obsidian-tc/pull/75","https://github.com/The-40-Thieves/obsidian-tc/releases/tag/v1.3.1","https://github.com/The-40-Thieves/obsidian-tc/security/advisories/GHSA-43r2-c7g8-prc8"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:58:52.678897993+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-77362","score":0.002,"percentile":0.09686,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-43r2-c7g8-prc8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-43r2-c7g8-prc8","summary":"obsidian-tc Bridge tools leak denied-note data via unfiltered sibling fields","modified":"2026-10-23T18:45:08.576498550Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"obsidian-tc","purl":"pkg:npm/obsidian-tc","ranges":["<1.3.1"],"fixed":["1.3.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
