{"cve":"CVE-2026-77339","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-18T17:17:00.663","modified":"2026-09-24T21:25:27.050","status":"Deferred","description":"Process Compose is a scheduler and orchestrator for non-containerized applications. Prior to 1.120.0, the MCP SSE listener in src/mcp/server.go accepts browser-origin requests to /sse and the returned message endpoint without validating the Host header, validating the Origin header, or authenticating the caller. When MCP SSE is enabled, a malicious website can use DNS rebinding to reach the loopback listener and issue MCP requests. If expose_control_tools is enabled, the attacker can enumerate process state, read or search logs, truncate logs, and start, stop, restart, or scale local processes; configured user-defined tools can expose additional commands and output. The Gin REST API token middleware does not protect this separately started MCP listener. This issue is fixed in version 1.120.0.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:P/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:L/SI:H/SA:N","score":5.1},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-306","CWE-346"],"references":["https://github.com/F1bonacc1/process-compose/commit/6ffa74f462cd2fa4f8dc1ee63c70b793b298c858","https://github.com/F1bonacc1/process-compose/releases/tag/v1.120.0","https://github.com/F1bonacc1/process-compose/security/advisories/GHSA-5gm3-9crp-6g3v","https://github.com/F1bonacc1/process-compose/security/advisories/GHSA-5gm3-9crp-6g3v"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-77339","score":0.00256,"percentile":0.17273,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-5gm3-9crp-6g3v","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-5gm3-9crp-6g3v","summary":"Process Compose: Browser DNS rebinding lets websites control local process-compose MCP tools","modified":"2026-09-28T17:11:08.419229847Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/f1bonacc1/process-compose","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/f1bonacc1/process-compose","ranges":["<1.120.0"],"fixed":["1.120.0"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-6515","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6515","summary":"Process Compose: Browser DNS rebinding lets websites control local process-compose MCP tools in github.com/f1bonacc1/process-compose","modified":"2026-09-28T17:00:17.006237083Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/f1bonacc1/process-compose","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/f1bonacc1/process-compose","ranges":["<1.120.0"],"fixed":["1.120.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
