{"cve":"CVE-2026-76323","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-19T22:17:16.393","modified":"2026-08-27T17:20:12.517","status":"Analyzed","description":"In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, a user who does not hold the \"admin\" or \"power\" Splunk roles could bypass Search Processing Language (SPL) safeguards for risky commands through the Job Details dashboard. The injected SPL could run using the permissions of an authenticated user who opens a crafted Job Details dashboard link. This could allow access to all relevant data and affect system integrity within those permissions. The vulnerability is possible because the Job Details dashboard does not correctly neutralize a caller-supplied search identifier before placing it into SPL searches. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the user by tricking them into opening the crafted link. The user who does not hold the \"admin\" or \"power\" Splunk roles should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. For more information see About jobs and job management (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/search/search-manual/10.4/manage-jobs/about-jobs-and-job-management) in the Splunk documentation.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":7.3},"cwes":["CWE-20"],"references":["https://advisory.splunk.com/advisories/SVD-2026-0801"],"products":["splunk:splunk"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:49:38.260478770+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-76323","score":0.00331,"percentile":0.2636,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
