{"cve":"CVE-2026-75910","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-20T20:17:46.937","modified":"2026-10-18T20:10:00.110","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"Incorrect privilege assignment in the ClickHouse connector deployment template in Amazon Athena Federated Query prior to v2026.17.1 could allow an authenticated remote user to read arbitrary AWS Secrets Manager secrets in the deploying account by pointing the connector's connection string at an unrelated secret and at a database endpoint under the user's control, causing the connector to transmit the secret to that endpoint. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to aws-athena-query-federation connectors version v2026.17.1 or later and ensure that any forked or derivative code is patched to incorporate the new fixes. Alternatively, to remediate this issue, users should redeploy the connector with the current template and supply a non-empty SecretNamePrefix value.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.1},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-266"],"references":["https://aws.amazon.com/security/security-bulletins/2026-084-aws/","https://github.com/awslabs/aws-athena-query-federation/releases/tag/v2026.17.1","https://github.com/awslabs/aws-athena-query-federation/security/advisories/GHSA-vmjg-c6wv-wjm9"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:49:38.260478770+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-75910","score":0.00505,"percentile":0.4288,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
